Muhammad Shawkat Ali Zawhar Muhammad Shawkat Ali Zawhar is a Bangladeshi academic, researcher, educator, and writer with extensive experience in political science, Quranic research, and institutional education. With a strong academic foundation in social sciences and more than a decade of professional engagement across research institutions, schools, and development-oriented platforms, he has consistently combined scholarly inquiry with practical teaching and knowledge dissemination. He completed his Master of Social Science (M.S.S.) in Political Science from Dhaka College under the National University in 2009, securing a Second Class. He earned his Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Political Science from Govt. Shahid Suhrawardy College in 2008. Earlier, he completed his Higher Secondary Certificate from Hatia Dwip Govt. College and Secondary School Certificate from Tamuruddi High School with commendable academic results. He also successfully passed the 7th Teachers’ Registration Examination (School & College) in 2011 and the 13th Teachers’ Registration Examination (College) in 2016. From the beginning of his career, Muhammad Shawkat Ali Zawhar has been deeply engaged in research and education. He started as a Research Fellow at the Quran Research Foundation (QRF) in Dhaka from 2008 to 2010, where he gained structured experience in Quranic studies and analytical research. He later served at the World Al Quran Research Centre in Khulna as a Research Fellow in 2012, further strengthening his academic and theological research background. His research journey includes direct scholarly engagement under Professor Dr. Matiar Rahman and Tayyabur Rahman Gopalganji, and he completed a Basic Quranic Arabic Grammar course at QRF. Alongside research, he has built a substantial teaching career. He served as Assistant Teacher at Milestone School and College from 2013 to 2015, and later as Lecturer of Political Science at Tamaraddi High School and College. He also worked at Sonaimuri Ideal School and most recently as Assistant Teacher (Social Science) at Faruq Memorial High School until December 2024. Through these roles, he contributed to curriculum delivery, student mentoring, and academic development at secondary and higher secondary levels. Beyond the classroom, he has diversified his professional engagement. He worked as an Executive Member at MRP Enterprise (2017–2019) and later joined Obismoroniyo Prokashoni as a Writer (Honours Level), contributing academic and research-based publications. He is also associated with MetaKave / Metamorphosis / IQRA in Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka, where he has been serving as a Social Media Manager and Research Fellow (2020–2022 and from January 2025 to present). In this capacity, he integrates research, digital communication, and content strategy to support intellectual and educational initiatives. Muhammad Shawkat Ali Zawhar is the author of research-based works titled “Al Quraner Aloke”, covering fourteen thematic volumes including Iman, Salat, Zakat, Siyam, Hajj, Ulil Amor, Wasiyyat, inheritance provisions, marriage, Talaq, Hijab, Riba, the question of apostasy, and Taqdir. His writings reflect a deep engagement with Quranic interpretation, social ethics, and jurisprudential discussions, aiming to connect classical scholarship with contemporary understanding. In addition to his academic credentials, he holds a Diploma in Computer Science (National Skill Standard Basic Course) from a Bangladesh Technical Education Board–affiliated training center, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet applications. He maintains typing speed of 25–30 words per minute and demonstrates functional proficiency in English alongside his mother tongue, Bengali.
